Hi there!

I'm pretty new to smoking. I'm obsessed and I want to learn from this forum and maybe someday I can contribute as well.

In the Philippines, we grill and our sauce is made from ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar and kalamansi (small local lemons).

I plan to make (DIY) my own smoker, since it is not available here or best is to order online and have it shipped here (costly). Next target is to create or make a signature sauce then a tender juicy melts in your mouth bbq.

I hope you can guide me here since I am not really familiar with this but I am eager to learn.

Thank you.

Howdy!

:welcome1: to SMF!

You mentioned building a smoker. I don't know what you have in mind but you might want to search here for information of UDS (Ugly Drum Smoker) builds and mini-WSM builds. The latter involve a small Weber charcoal grill and a tamale steamer of the right size to fit the grill.

FWIW

Again, :welcome1: to SMF!

Thanks for the heads up guys!

Yes, I signed up to Jeff's 5 day free e-course.

and Yes, I'm thinking of making the simple  UDS. I think that is doable.

I will update.

Many thanks again......
