new toy for the grill

I don't use any cans at all due to the inks on the can. A water pan is enough for me.
 
I've not had a problem with inks coming off cans during my smokes.

I believe that the smoke temps aren't high enough to effect the inks like they would be on a grill.
 
I added some worcestshire sauce and granulated garlic in the beer. I also plugged the neck with a lime that I poked wholes in. I've also used potatoes and onions in the neck. The onions taste great afterwards.

 
I didnt use any wood and today i found an old wood chip pan just for grills hid in the garage,

Good thing i saved this, it is cast iron and now i can add some smoke to my grilling so now its asmoker too

 
I never thought about not using the can. I think I'll try that next. You guy's (and gal's) are too much.
