With my 5,000th post here on SMF I'm thrilled to introduce the newest addition to my meat smoking arsenal, the 26" Weber Kettle!

Of course the cover I ordered doesn't fit, a pair of scissors just might fix that issue. With this addition, my Weber 22, and the Pro 100 I'm just about all set now. Oh, my SQ36 offset is posted in the classifieds if anyone's interested, can't see that getting much action anymore. This thing's too pretty to cook on, think I'll just look at it for a couple of days before slopping it up. RAY

Congrats. I just sold my pretty much new 22” wsm and am going to pick up the 26” kettle to replace it. the wsm was a lot of work and I would do ribs and pork butt on my 22” kettle. Figured the 26” kettle would be a perfect mix between the two. I’m keeping the 22” kettle for vortex wings though mmmmm

Woot ! They are sexy . I was gonna use mine today , damn rain came back . So I flipped the switch on the MES .

Thanks Rich! Even tho I've just attained Guru status I plan on turning to you for some advise on this thing, sure is a lot heavier than the 22. Thanks for the Like Rich, much appreciated! RAY

Nice purchase! I'm sure it will get a good workout!

Thanks Denny, still having to decide on a break-in cook, maybe a butt. Thanks for the Like, I appreciate it. RAY

Looking good Ray! Can't wait to see it's maiden voyage! Ryan

Thanks Ryan! Whatever comes first it's surely to be something low and slow, it's hot here, I want easy peasy! Thank you for the Like Ryan, I do appreciate it. RAY

Nice! Congrats on your status! I'm sure you'll love that kettle. Just put a shirt on so you don't get splattered with grease!!!!

Thanks Steve-o! I haven't worn a shirt for over two months now, I'm a bronze sun god, albeit a old and fat one. Thanks for the Like amigo, much appreciated! RAY

Thanks SmokingUPnorth SmokingUPnorth , that exactly my plan also, love the Vortex and SnS, tho I lean more towards Vortex legs as of late, more meat, half the price of wings. RAY

Hey congratulations! Look what I got last week: sitting next to his little brother the 22 kettle. That makes a WSM 22, Weber 22 and 26 kettle. Can’t wait to use the new 26! What the heck should I smoke?

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout, I can feel your joy! What a great looking family portrait, always nice to see the kids getting along well with each other. I'm going to do a tritip on the 22 tonight, don't want to to think it'll be forgotten. Thanks for the Like, I appreciate it. RAY

I remember when I got mine I had a question about the cover . They showed to different ones or something . Did it come with the kettle?

No Rich, it was a after-market deal not made by Weber. It'd fit fine it the lid holder wasn't there. Even if I cut it and ruin it, still won't work right. I'm searching right now to see what fits. RAY

Jan found one on Ebay made by Weber, new in the bag, same model as on the Weber site, $32 delivered, be here soon enough. I went out to fiddle with the one that doesn't fit. way too hot to handle. RAY
