Now you're set !!! I'd go with some Yard-bird Calves & Thighs!!! Like. Bear

Thanks John! No yardbird right off, got to be something special going low and slow. Hey, a few of those beef ribs Robert sent me would work just fine, oh yeah! Thanks for the Like John, I do appreciate it. RAY

Thanks Gary, ain't gonna stay that way for long, tho I am getting a cover that fits and am going to try to keep in tidy, maybe even use a drip pan! Thanks for the Like Gary, much appreciated. RAY

Congratulations Ray, you deserve something special. Can't wait to see that first cook.
Again, congrats!

My first cook on the 26 was 2 firsts .
First cook on a 26 , and first cook of a packer brisket .

We're actually looking at having some family over soon, been a long long time since company Rich. I want to do a butt so I get the leftovers enchiladas and burritos, been out for two months now.

Thank Colin! Jan thought I deserved a little something to, enjoying it right at the moment! Thanks for the Like Colin, I do appreciate it. RAY

Nice Ray . Just did the vacation to Tenn. with family . It was a much needed norm .
Enjoy .
If you put the vortex in that 26 , I'm driving to AZ , and gonna drain your pool .

Welcome to the Fraternal Brotherhood of Weber 26ers Ray. Your gonna love that kettle.

For an inaugural cook I'd go real fancy, thinking maybe a Bar S hotdog. It's simple and quick and will help you figure out temp control. :emoji_wink:

Side Note: I don't use the Vortex in my 26. I have seen the damage it did to the lid on my 22 and don't want a repeat performance on the 26er.

That’s a nice meat pot!!! Just think how many Vortex wings you can do!

Thanks Civil! The 22 is for the Vortex and grilling, the 26 for low & slow. It'll be ideal for a crowd, wings on the little guy, some real meat on the big boy. Thanks for the Like, much appreciated! RAY

Ray, that sure is a purdy grill. Congrats on both the new cooker and the status milestone. Stu

Thanks Stu! I've spent the morning getting stuff moved around in the backyard and basking in the glory of my new-found guruness, let those who seek guidance come unto me and see the light :emoji_laughing:
Too dammed hot, didn't last long before I had to hit the pool! Thanks for the Like amigo, much appreciated. RAY

Thanks Chris! I haven't had a hot dog since before I began making my own sausage over 20 years ago, no sense eatin' what comes off the cutting floor. No Vortex or SnS in the 26, baskets came with and a ton of room to make a long snake, having both will make life easy, I'm into easy! Thanks for the Like Chris, I do appreciate it. RAY
