Hey all, was Nic and my anniversary Thursday. She has put up with me for 23 years, but been married 21 years as of Thursday. Our anniversary is one of those days we usually will dine out as we don’t do it often. We also decided that we wanted to try something different rather than our usual “go to” places as well as just a different location all together. The “go to” are in Idaho Falls and neither of us felt like dealing with the crowds and traffic.
She mentioned going up to the Teton Valley… I was very much in favor of that as the drive is more scenic, less crowded and traffic.
About half way there, thought this was a decent pic to share.
She found a place called Forage Bistro at Warbirds Lounge located at the Teton Aviation Center. Menu looked outstanding, so we decided that is where we wanted to change things up.
Sorry for the lack of pics. Wish I had taken more, but was also focusing on my better half due to the occasion.
Had an appetizer of a bean spread and burrata with tomato, cucumber, EVOO, gastrique, capers, pistachios with naan bread. No pic, sorry!
Neither of us eat like we used to, guess an age thing.
So often times we just share an app and meal. This time for the meal we chose the Kurobuta Pork Chop with a Huckleberry Bourbon Demi.
Wow, was this just so juicy and melt in your mouth good. One of the best pork chops I’ve ever had. Nic agreed.
Also not pictured is the sides that come with the chop. Sides were Beluga lentils and locally grown kale and chard. Was really a phenomenal app and meal.
This next pic was really impressive to me, so have to share.
Then another thing they offer is to walk thru the Warbird Museum where right off the restaurant you can access this and check out some aircraft on display.
We were both glad we done something different and we generally don’t eat at fancy places. But once a year we tend to do just that.
Was a very nice 21st Anniversary dinner with my better half. We were super impressed with the food, atmosphere and the extra touches they have on display like the Missing Man Table and the walk thru of the Warbird Museum. We both agreed that we would definitely go back sometime in the future.
Thanks for looking!
