What a great site. Tons of great advice. All I can say is thanks.

I got an electric Brinkman last year for Fathers day and got seriously hooked on smoking pork butts and brisket. This year I moved up to a propane vertical from Perfect Flame (Lowes knock-off). Still trying to get the feel for it.

I've been looking through the forums and can't wait to try some of the recipes. I'll be back with updates as I try them out.

Welcome aboard Jim...glad ta have ya here!

Hi Jim welcome to SMF im a watt burner like you was and if you got the brisket down thats great it was one of the tougher ones for me. we like pics so show us what ya got

Welcome Jim! I have the perfectflame/bbq grillware LP smoker. First thing I would suggest is get some different thermometers. The factory one on mine varies from 20-30 degrees depending on the weather.

Have fun and post some Qview!

Welcome to the family Jim, glad to have you

Looking forward to some q-view
