new to smf

Hello, my name is simpleman and I am a smokeaholic. It all started with that smoking competition series I watched years ago. Ever since I was hooked! I bought a cheapo smoker to start and never looked back. I currently smoke on a cheap brinkman horizontal i bought off of craigslist for 30 hardly used. I enjoy making my own sausage esp. deer ss. I am a journeymen carpenter and I see a smokehouse build in my future. Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

Fortunately, this is no cure for this addiction...and the only way to treat the symptoms is regularly applying doses of Thin Blue Smoke.  Welcome to the group!

Hey Red,   What addiction ?    I don't have no addiction.      Like a lady told me at the drug store when I was buying Carmex, She Said " you have to be careful using that stuff it can become addictive" I said "Naah  I've been using it for 30 years and I'm not addicted" she just looked at me with a puzzled look on her face.

Not bad now...had that last big winter's gasp on Sunday/Monday, but most of the snow has melted now.  It was "brisk" this morning, but shaping up to be a pretty afternoon.  Long range forecast is for temps in the 60's and 70's in the next 10 days.

I'll be on the golf course if it really gets that nice...

Well, looks like we might actually get above freezing this weekend, first time since back around Xmas ....

Was supposed to be in the70's Friday and Saturday they backed it down to the high 50's low 60's chance of rain.  Ready for nice warm days, need to get my garden ready.
