New to SMF

I was just given a Brinkmann Square Vertical Smoker that has only been used twice.  So I am going to try my hand at smoking.  I am new to the whole meat smoking concept so I am here looking for ideas and just to read and learn more about what it takes to get the best possible smoked meats I can make.  I am from the Tacoma, Washington area.
