Hello everyone,

I've been lurking for a few months here and elsewhere reading and planning my build. I move Friday out of a condo into a house where I can finally smoke to my heart's delight. I just picked up a 55gal drum and I'll be building my Ugly Drum Smoker within the next few weeks. I also own an A-Maze-In cold smoking device, a dehydrator, a Weber charcoal and gas grill (and the place I'm moving comes with another Weber gas grill). Suffice it to say there's gonna be a lot of food going on.

Born and raised in Eastern CT, in the town where UConn is located and that's where I'm heading back after a few years bouncing around Greater Hartford. First on my cold-smoke list are some salmon (while the bacon is curing, of course), and I have a particular interest in perfecting a some poultry in the UDS once it's done.

Looking forward to help with the problems I will inevitably run into.

Ben
