Hey guys new to the forum and looking into learning how to make sausage. I have an anvil grinder with a #22 head, hope I said that correctly. I use it to just grind up my deer. I hunt alot and process my own harvests but looking on how to make sausage out of hogs and deer. Not looking for anyones secret recipes. But could yall point me in the right direction of recipes and the parts I would need for my grinder? It's an Anvil MIN0022. I'd like to make some grilling sausage and maybe some summer sausage. I've got the hamburger meat part down but like I said before want to get into the sausage part. Also would I need a smoker for any of this? Thanks yall!!

There are tons of recipes on the forum for sausages that people share and post. There are also a few websites that share for home personal use such as Len Poli. Kutas Rytek has a great book of how to's and recipes. We also hunt and process our own and make sausage. As for your grinder I am not familiar with that particular make, But my preference is a stand alone stuffer for sausage and grinder. We use an LEM 1hp #22, and 8lb horizontal stuffer. We make fresh and cured and do experiment with different flavors / styles. I have also shared recipes and am willing to do so. We generally do a 60/40 mix with our venison pork mix depending on the sausage. Stix we do 70/30. There are a lot of people making sausage on this site with variations. Browse and ask lots of questions. The people here are great and very knowledgeable. Let us know what happens and share your exp. Good luck

Ok thanks I'll look into those websites you mentioned. Not trying to spend to much money on equipment that's why I'd like to use my grinder but if a sausage stuffer is easier then I'll go that route. Thanks for the input!
