Hello, I am the definition of Rookie at this. I just purchased a Broil King Smoke vertical propane smoker. I love smoked food, and have wanted to get into doing my own for a while now. I am from Ontario Canada. I am looking forward to sharing results and learning all that I can.

Welcome to SMF!

We'll be glad to help you get started with that new smoker!

Here is my first successful victim. 12 lb turkey. 7.5 hours at 250 degrees. Dry rub seasoning and mix of hickory and apples chips. I am hooked.

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a rainy and stormy day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Welcome! Looks like an extremely successful first smoke! How was the taste?
