I've been reading/researching on this forum for a month or so. Purchased an MES 40 last week and am excited to start smoking. Will probably smoke mostly fish and chicken; that's what I eat the most of.
It started raining heavily (forecast was clear skies) during my first smoke tonight, prior to putting the meat in. Got the smoker covered within a few minutes and I hope nothing was damaged. Will start again when the rain passes. Not a good start.
