Hello!
I did my first smoke on a Masterbuilt propane yesterday. It was more difficult than I thought (2 fires!)
I'm concerned that my chips are catching fire and burning vs smoking. When I could get them to smoke, I had a nice thin blue smoke.
Ribs turned out well, but it took a LOT more monitoring than I thought.

Welcome.

Like anything else, once you learn your smoker it'll get much less difficult.

A few my first smokes didn't go so well!

They look good to me. Nice color and the pull back.

Fires in the chip pan? If they are still building the one with holes in it it will catch fire I use a cast iron fry pan. Learning control as said above will make things easier. Good looking food there.

Also welcome to the forum.

Interesting! The chip pan does have holes in it. Did you place the cast iron pan inside the chip pan? That's a great suggestion!

Aluminum foil may also work until you can get CI.
