Hello all,

New to the forum. Planning on building my own smoker out of a 55gal drum. Really have enjoyed playing around with making my own rub and sauces so far, so I feel like stepping up my game so to speak. Hope to build my contraption this week while I'm home. (I'm a pilot when I'm not home.)  I right now have a gas grill but if I can make a multi use BBQ pit that can do both I'd gladly get rid of it. Any advice on construction would be great. Most of my questions are based upon temperature regulation at this point.
