Well, I have used a smoker once before, but a one time deal. that was a gravity smoker and my only role in using it was supplying and seasoning the meat. So I am here to learn.

So to start off after that, I go by Buck. I live in the ponderosa pine mountain forest in Idaho above Boise. Beautiful area to live in. Have a creek running through the property and I love sitting out there with my dogs and grilling.

Now, I am no stranger to grilling on a gas grill and tempting new seasoning combinations. Though I have yet to try it with smoke.

I was able to attain this smoker in a luck draw that I bought $6 worth of tickets and got this awesome looking smoker. It is a Brinkmann smoke n pit grill. It took me a little over two hours putting this together as it was still new in box, but I got it done. Only thing left to do is to season the inside before I use it.

Guess I am mostly looking to get some pointers and some new recipes to try from this site.

Good afternoon and welcome. This is a great place for information, lots of great people willing to help. Check out the forums and threads.
