Hello all, my name is Beau. Just got a used Masterbuilt electric smoker given to me from my father-in-law. Live in  Southeast Missouri. Have never used a smoker before, but plan on smoking a whole chicken and a turkey breast (boneless/skinless) this weekend.

Been looking around some, and I think I've hit the mother load for smoking. Cant wait to get it going.

to SMF - glad to have you here

Thanks Everybody. I'm still hoping to try out a whole chicken and a turkey breast this weekend for my first go of it. I'll report back with results.

Welcome aboard.  If you want to have crispy skin plan on smoking the chicken at 300 degs or so.
