New smoker from central california

Hey everyone,

After a few years of research and dreaming, I received the best Christmas gift ever....A GMG Jim Bowie smoker.  It will be arriving at my house tomorrow after work. I live in central California and have always wanted to perfect the art of smoking. I have never smoked anything before but have been reading about methods and rub recipes all week since the smoker was ordered.  I plan on making a trip to Costco today to load up for a week full of trials.

Thanks for the support and I look forward to LOTS of smokes in the near future!
