I got a new Smoke Hollow PS4400 from Sam's club.
I seasoned it and it went fine.
I smoked some ribs today but ran into some problems.
When I first started the smoker everything went well. I wasn't able to maintain 225 with both burners on in the beginning but I got a handle on it with only one burner and everything was going fine.
Then I ran out of propane and swapped to another tank.
When I swapped the tank I didn't bother to turn off the dial on the smoker.
I just added the new tank, turned it on and pushed the ignite button.
Once I switched tanks I couldn't get the temp over 180 degrees. even with both burners on high.
I realize I was doing this in the middle of a Nor'easter but I had no problem hitting temps of 250 earlier in that same Nor'easter.
Can anyone shed some light on as to why this happened?
