New MES wattage

I recently bought my MES at Home Depot.

I have read the manuals and cannot find the wattage rating for the heating element?
I tried to search your site for this Model and could not find this Model listed.
Is it discontinued?
What is the wattage value?

Thank you for contacting Masterbuilt. The 20070612 is one of our newer models which just hit the market; it is not discontinued. The wattage of it is 1500 watts. Please let me know if you have any further questions and I would be happy to assist you.

Why in hell does the 30 need 1500 watts when 1200 watts on the 0512 mes 40 is causing chip fires and a safety notice for a recalled chip tray? Someone is not paying attention at masterbuilt unless they have just given all design and quality control over to the Chinese.
