Hello to everyone. Happy to join the forum. I've been smoking meat and preparing bbq for many years now. I started on a second hand offset stick burner and that is where I learned my fire and temperature management. I then moved to a WSM 22" and never looked back. I always had a charcoal grill near bye for hot and fast cooks. Now I have just entered the retirement phase of my life. I decided I didn't want fight with wood and coals anymore but still wanted good food. I just bought my first pellet grill, and am hoping that it will give me good bbq and smoked meats while allowing for a more automated process that is easier on me. I'm still waiting on the delivery of my new grill as I type this so I have zero experience with this type of grill at all. Any advice or quick tips would be appreciated. I have so many questions regarding types of pellets, searing techniques, and many more so I am looking forward to hearing what all of you have to say. Watched a lot of videos during my research for my new grill, but I'm sure there will be a learning curve. I'm always ready to learn something new so that is why I joined. Looking forward to the journey.
