Hello to everyone at SMF,My name is Rick I 'm from Northwest Il. and definately a beginner smoker. Before yesterdays try at smoking venison sausage the only other meat that I've smoked has been fish. I have a Brinkmann smoken - grill and a Landmann grill / smoker with offset fire box that my brother gave me this summer it was a bit challenging to regulate the heat yesterday

using the firebox smoking vss for 1'st time  but it was fun and gave me some good practice.I'm looking forward to going thrugh and reading many of the great threads and posts. I have learned alot allready from this site and know i will keep learning. There are alot of friendly helpfull people on here.
