I'm excited about learning more about bbq from the forum. My barbecue experience is pretty basic; but I did buy a smoker that I've yet to use (need to do some more homework). I bought a couple of barbecue books and hope to learn to do more than grill chicken and burgers! I also have a bit larger Weber Grill that I bought this year and loved the indirect heating technique to grill a a whole chicken, spread out with the back removed.

I've been watching all the Pitmaster re-runs and realize these people have BBQ'ing down to a science! So now I want to stretch my repertoire and try my hand at some ribs and other things.

Thanks Gary. Nice looking cooker. I forgot to mention that I have an 18" Smoky Mt. Cooker, big enough for the two of us or the next big steelhead I catch.:) Now I just have to learn how to use it! LOL When I bought it, I thought I could also use it as a grill then found out it was just a smoker, so I went out and bought a decent sized, new Weber grill, since my other Weber is super tiny, just big enough for two small steaks or a couple of burgers.
