My name is Mike. I live in southern Delaware. I am retired. Have been using MB Electrics for several years. Problem I have is a lack of smoke. Its a bit better when i soak my wood chips. The electrics are good starter smokers but i am ready for a new pellet grill, so I have just bought a RT-700. Can't wait for it to get here. Im gonna toss in a pork butt for my first cook.

Welcome from Iowa Mike! Look forward to seeing some cooks on it!

And nothing's keeping you from putting in TWO of those smoke tubes either. You may want to use one (them?) in your new pellet machine too.
Experiment and enjoy the smoking hobby.

Welcome from Virginia!

MB are good smokers. If you have the cabinet style I recommend pulling the chip loader out half way to let more oxygen to the wood. I used to pull it out all the way if they weren’t smoking enough. Getting oxygen to them is the key.

Soaking chips is controversial. I don’t believe in it because it doesn’t penetrate and only surface. Others believe in it, so do what works for you!

Make sure you foil you drip tray for easy cleaning!
