Howdy,

My name is Brandon and I recently took an interest in smoking. I've loved to grill since i was old enough to see over the grate, but recently just received my first smoker for Christmas. Its a Masterbuilt analog control 30", just the basics but I've already smoked a wild boar ham that I harvested, and as I'm typing this I've finished my first pork shoulder waiting for it to finish resting. I'm very excited I found this world of smoking and I'm open to any tips/tricks from the seasoned guys out there. thanks for having me on your site!

In a town called Colonial Beach. Right on the Potomac River across from southern maryland. I see you have an HVAC background, hello from a fellow HVAC tech.

I'm west of the Blue Ridge in Floyd County. 35 years as a mechanical pipefighter/welder. Quarter inch to 48 inch.

Hillbilly Jim, that's awesome. I went through the steamfitter 602 school in DC, mostly service and control work now though.

SmokingAl, thanks. Glad to be here
