Hey Y'all ... Just joined today.

I live in Central Texas, 67 years old, don't do any cookoffs, just like to cook for us and friends. In the process of building a UDS, just sold a 500 Gallon trailer pit with propane stove and alum work box...Burned more lumber than you could buy. I also have a horizontal pit that my wife,s dad built back in the 70s and I have refurbed several times.Always looking for ideas and suggestions.

Has anyone build a smoker from cinder block? I've build one using cinder block with a fire pit on one end and the smoker on the other end. I'm have trouble keeping the temp at 200 degrees. I'm finding myself using a lot of wood and charcoal.
