Hello All,
The wife picked up an electric smoker for me after the dogs broke the top to my homemade Alton Brown flowerpot smoker. Wasn't too excited about at first but after 2 uses I think it will be great. It holds a ton more than the flowerpot which will be great for entertaining.
Made my first brisket a couple of weeks ago, and last week made a New York roast that was on sale. The Brisket was hands down better and cheaper. Previously did Alton's recipe for pulled pork (Boston Butt), ribs, and tri-tip, all were amazing.

Only drawback so far with the new smoker is that it takes chips, which only last 2 hours or so, I used chunks for the flowerpot, which lasted 4 hours, which is better for starting at 2-3 am.

Love that guy, and I'm happy to someone out there does too.
Sad about the flower pot, it served it's purpose
Good luck with the chips, you'll be just fine my friend.
Oh and your food looks great, wish I wasn't on the other coast.
Come back soon, let us know how that new cooker is doing.

Welcome to the forum!
Congrats on the new smoker!
Looking forward to seeing it in action!
Al
