I have  smoked my first meal, a meatloaf from Jeff Phillips cook book wow it was delicious. I like charcoal not gas or electricity  so I buy a char-broil  it was very hard to keep it at 225 to 250 so after 6 hours it was not at 160 yet so I finish it in oven . what a good taste.. Do you know if there is a better charcoal smoker then the one I have? Thank you .

Welcome to the forums, yolande!  Glad you've joined us.  You've found a great place to learn and share ideas on our favorite pastimes...grilling, smoking, and curing  great food!  Just ask any time you need help and you'll get plenty!

I'm not really familiar with your smoker, but if you're looking for a good charcoal smoker, you might check out a WSM.  Everyone here who owns them rave about them.

    Hi thank you to answer.

I live in Quebec, Canada .I like to cook and try all kind of food .I am 75 years old  so I buy the smaller smoker for 1 person. I will take experience with my smoker and later on I will buy a better one if I can find a small one better that the one I have. When I buy they toll me I can use it like an oven I was happy because I said to myself : good to bake my bread but I will need to adjust myself with the temp. 200 is not enough to cook bread lol.Bye and thank you Yolande
