Hello. I'm Drew, from Mount Holly, NC. I usually cook on either a homemade gas pit with a smoke generator or a pellet grill, but a friend is giving me a stick burner. I've never run one of these before, so I'll need a bit of help. I'll post a picture in the stick burner section as soon as it clears moderation. Look forward to the discussions. Thanks in advance.

Welcome from SC, Drew. It's good to have you on this great site. You will find a lot of really fine folks here who are always eager to share their ideas, recipes and tips. All you have to do is ask away and keep reading.

I'm sure you will enjoy your stick burner. They give a lot of good flavor to the meat. Good smoke and heat management is a steep learning curve, but it's a lot of fun. So, practice, practice. You can always eat your mistakes.

Good luck and good smoking, Joe. :grilling_smilie:

Welcome to the forum.

A stick burner can be a lot of fun to run.

It just takes a little practice to get the temp under control.
