From central MN and I've been smoking meats for about 5 years but still consider myself pretty new to the hobby. I started with a fairly inexpensive LP smoker to see if I liked it. Then graduated to MES 40 electric smoker and have just recently purchased a pellet grill that should be delivered early next week.
The reason I enjoy the hobby is that low and slow cooking is (usually) pretty relaxing cooking. It's a great break from the hurry up world we live in. Oh and... I really like to eat too!
