Good afternoon everyone, my name is Jacob from Bakersfield, CA. I bought my first pellet grill, the Pit Boss 1100 from Lowe's February 2020. I am absolutely in love with it! I've been smoking up a storm. I came here in search of a solution for the hot spots associated with a center mount fire pit and I can't believe the knowledge and camaraderie displayed here. I decided to make this forum my home for all things smoking / grilling. Have a great weekend and God bless you all.

I also have a pro 1100!
Make sure your metal plates are installed correctly .
There has been documentation that some folks have uneven heating across the grates & PB recommends removing the large thin rectangle heat diffusor plate that found directly above the fire pot, has a large hole in it to accommodate the fire pot.
I havent removed mine as things seem ok for me but yet I havent probed 3 different area of my pit & not going to over analyze things...
I smoked a complete pit full of tuna chunks this afternoon & things seemed pretty even as far as what got done when....
