Good morning all

New to the forum..and new to the low & slow style. My wife got me a new toy a few weeks ago, a cajun injector electric smoker. To date, I've tried my hand at a couple pork butts, a brisket, and chicken wings, all of which I borrowed tips and recipes off this amazing forum.

Obviously, I have a lot to learn. Lucky for me I love food so i don't mind spending time eating..I mean studying. With a little help from you guys I'm confident I'll get there slowly, but surely. So any tips and/or advice is much appreciated and I thank you kindly in advance.

Why not start of with a question...I'm currently reading up on the AMNPS, judging by all the feedback I'm getting the impression that owning one is a must. What do you guys recommend I should start out with? (pretty cool knowing that I'm purchasing from the founder of this forum...what a great way to give back)

Thanks again all. I look forward to reading the feedback/responses.

I also stumbled across the topic of a sandwich throwdown...hmm, now doesn't that sound interesting. I can't wait to see what y'all come up with. Heck, maybe I'll even come up with my own concoction.

Have a great one

Mike

Mike, I finished my growing up in Amherst and Nancy's from Elma.  Our farm is over between Auburn and Skaneateles though we're a couple hours east of you.

Welcome to the site and I hope you have a good time with learning the art of cooking with smoke and spice.

Lance

thanks for the welcome Lance.

My wife spent part of her childhood growing up in Skaneateles, beautiful area for sure.

Have a good one
