Hi everyone I am your newest newbie. I am a boat mechanic here and I live in the hills above Santa Cruz Ca. I just want to say thanks already for all the great information and good humor I have enjoyed for the past year reading this forum. I have been cooking since I was about 7 years old when I figured out having what you want to eat is just a matter of learning how to cook it. I started smoking on a relatives wsm but currently I use two weber kettles 18" and 22" . I have really wanted a quality offset for a long time but it has not been in the budget and then I saw the mini reverse flow someone posted on here. I got a failed scuba tank for $5 and my build has started! Really happy to be here!                              P.S. on a build this small is the feldons pit calculator  a reliable source if I use the I.D. measurement of the cook chamber? it measures 6.750" X 23" internally and wondering if I can get away with not welding the internal baffle plate if I can get it to fit fairly tight?.             SCUBA = Super Cool Universal Barbecue Apparatus!  Cheers!
