Anyone know if the insulation  in 1989 traulsen refer has 2 be removed. It is High density polyurethane foam  and  I am having trouble taking the inner lining out without bending the heck out of it. It will be used for all forms of smoking and I would like to get it hot enough to burn out. I want this to be equal to a commercial smoker when complete so I will do what I need to do but I don’t want to waste time doing things that are not necessary. Thank you so much with the help

I've started on a similar fridge with a same issue and the easiest way to remove the foam is to use a sharp chisel, I made one from an old knife,  You pry most of the big stuff using it.  What does wonders is if you have an oscillating tool with a rigid scraper attachment, it will remove every trace of the foam.  Whatever you do do not burn the foam, it will just make a bigger mess.
