I'd have to see one in a store and feel how thick the metal is, look at the auger and hopper construction etc.

Wow. 1400.00 for the XL version. I sure hope it's made of good materials and workmanship

I would like to see one too. It weighs 250 lbs according to the specs.

I watched the video, very cool stuff. It's definitely a cut above the classic Traeger/clone. I too would want to handle one before spending the money. Looks legit though.

I agree; the video was informative. I hope we can get some non-company reviews shortly.

We've had a 4 burner Broil King propane grill for about 6 years or more. Always kept covered when not in use and works like a champ for all our propane grill needs. If they built the pellet smokers like the propane grill we own they should be made of good quality? I too am looking forward to some real world reviews.

I have heard horror stories about some of the new pellet smokers coming out these days. My neighbor got a new Traeger a couple of years ago, and it couldn't hold consistent temps, and actually caught on fire one time. Customer service was a joke. I would certainly do a lot research about the company's warranty, and customer service. I would also ask who eats the shipping costs if you eventually have to send it back. Companies are so quick to get a product into consumers hands these days that we have become the beta testers, and pay the price if it turns out to be junk.

I did a lot of research before I bought my Rec Tec pellet grill, and knew that even though it was made overseas, they stood behind their product.

I don't think they are anywhere to be found in stores. Lowes has them on their website only. More $ than a Silverbac and less $ than a Pitts or a Blazin but not by much. I set a $1500 limit. I'll wait a bit longer to purchase something. Touched a Traeger and Pitt Boss in the stores and I'll pass.

That price point puts it right in there with some mid to high end grills. I don't know if I could put one over a Rec Tec or Yoder without kicking the tires.

If you're anywhere close to Weatherford Texas there's a place called Dave's Stove shop that's not only a real cool place to just walk through and see all the stuff they have for sale but they have a pellet smoker section that has about 20 different make & models on display and a guy named Weldon that will absolutely answer any questions that someone might have. It's nice to be able to see the cooker and actually get to compare them side by side.

Thanks for the info but I am stuck in Maryland for the time being. I would love to be in Texas though. The legislators in this state are nuts. If I can't find anything about this grill I will just move on. I do like its weight and the way it looks especially the controller and rotisserie.

That grill LOOKS like a winner, but I'll wait to see what real life owners have to say about it. I don't do fb, so that's no help for me. :emoji_sunglasses:

Broil King lists a local appliance dealer near me as a dealer so I stopped in. Zero BKs of any kind in stock and the salesman didn’t even know what they are.

Interesting. Thanks for taking the time to check it out for us. Maybe I will wait a bit longer.
