I'm starting an new build, I have a steel box for my cook chamber it's 48 inch tall 18 inch deep an 30inch wide , I already have the firebox built . Debating on whether to go with a vertical or horizontal smoker , what do y'all like better ?

That would depend on what you are going to smoke on it. You can get more racks in a vertical. Or hang more sausage. but a horizontal will do a hog or??? So to answer your questions better we need more info.

Happy smoken.

Was goin to put this one on a trailer with my rf offsett for some competition I want to try and for smoking for friends and family. I have another rf flow big nuff for a whole hog, I'm leaning towards a vertical , anyone got any pics of a vertical offsett they want to share

I'm hopin to have it finished this week, I've never used a vertical , how is the heat difference from the bottom rack to the top rack , do I need to have 2 thermometer in the door or 1 in the middle ?
