I need some ideas on what to smoke . Due to some recent heart issues like a minor heart attack my doctor has told me to start eating better.I thought i was eating pretty damn good ( ribs, stuffed pork lions and some pulled pork)LOL!. any ideas would be great. never tried veggies in the smoker. willing to try anything .I love smoking and miss it since my ticker started acting up. I know you guys will come up with some great ideas. thanks.

There are some great things to smoke up and still be

healthy. You can smoke almost any vegetable, mix

them up, put them together.

Chicken smoked but remove the skin AFTER smoking

and before eating. Stuffed bells with turkey meat instead

pork, etc.

Sorry about the ailment but, there are numerous things

to smoke without causing harm.

More on this forum will follow with ideas and recipes.

Good luck and good health...James

Master is right on line; when you do your veggies, coat with Cannola(or just water) and sprinkle on your rub , then smoke till you like it ; just leave the salt out...Spices don't hurt you ,the Salt is the culprit. Find some flavors you like and blend them at home for your use for the Commercial Blends(unless noted) have a lot of Salt.

You can get some good pungent flavors, like Ginger and Gr. Cloves, etc. play with them and make your own. Then use on trimmed steak for fast hot cook-watch for the charring too, and like a Flat that is trimmed. Just think about your choices what to cook.

Just sayin'...........

P.S. I have to watch too.

Another thing you can do is to smoke some garlic and some salt and add them to regular dishes to get some of the smokey goodness in non smoked foods.

Chicken and porkloin are both lower in fat and calories
