I am new to the slow and low cooking lifestyle and I am addicted I am looking for a rub for my ribs that will punch you in the mouth the give you a sweet kiss to say I'm sorry. So can I find that in one rub or do I need to use a hot let it soak in then a sweet rub

My best advice is to use Jeff's Rub if you do not have a go-to rub of your own. I'm not trying to sell you anything, but at one time I was asking the same question. This is a very good rub that you can adjust to  fit your own tastes, hotter, sweeter, etc. It is well balanced as is. Since I bought the recipe, I haven't touched the stuff I was using before. Again, just my advice.
