Need help calculating btu's for smoker.

Got the base finished for my smoker. Wanted to put a propane burner in the bottom fire box. The actual smoking area on top of the fire box is going to be 40"x 40"x 66". How many btu's would I need for this smoker? Thanks all!

Not sure but you can always turn the burner down if too hot, also up to a certain degree, airflow and insulation of top will play a roll that's hard to gauge , I would shop some propane smokers and see if they say what size burners they come with, not sure what size mine is but would probably run it fine.
