Interesting but $1500 buys smoke pretty nice smokers...JJ

I agree with the others it looks cool but for 1.5 K seams way over priced. For the same $ you could get a much better unit I'm thinking.

Does that unit eat pellets or what? Looking at the video it used close to 10+ pounds for that one smoke.

I actually am being conserative when I type 10 ... Was not stuffed full at the start and there was at least a pound or two left in the daylight portion of the vid, but he did state it held 20 pounds.

Based on pellet use .. I would think that it is nice unit for giving flavor to a steak, but would you really want to do a long smoke with it ..

Looks like a "good $500.00 " dollar smoker,,, MAYBE. But no way near a $1500-00 smoker. And I looked thru the pics they offered and all the meat had burnt spots on the top of it. For 1500-00 bucks it better not have any hot spots like that. I gotta say I like the door design.

If i was going to spend that kind of money on a pellet pooper it would be a Yoder YS 640. I have heard nothing but good things about the Yoder.

X2 - that thing is way overpriced IMHO

I guess I didn't look at the cost before my first comment. I agree with GOTARACE in that for that kind of money I'd be looking at a Yoder. I have their offset smoker and love it. Their products are well made and they are very nice people to work with, always very helpful.

Hey guys!

That was my review I did on the Grilla. I used around 10lbs of BBQrs Delight pellets for an 8lb pork butt during an almost 10 hr cook. So that is around a pound an hour at 225 degrees. I am new to using pellet smokers-grills, but I am pretty sure that is a normal amount of pellets for that amount of time.

The Grilla is also American Made so you are going to pay more for that.

Here is another review on the Grilla that a friend of mine did on it.

Here is his comparison between the Grilla and XL BGE

http://www.grillingwithrich.com/the-big-green-egg-xl-vs-the-grilla-a-comparison

I have smoked a lot of pork butts and the pork butt I smoked on the Grilla turned out to be the best I have smoked thus far. I am really happy with mine and it's my go-to Smoker-Grill now.

I think after you read his reviews you will see that the Grilla is worth the price!

Thanks,

Jay

Jay please go to Roll Call and introduce yourself and then fill out your profile for us so we can welcome you to SMF . Thanks Roller SMF MOD.

Also forgot to mention Candy Weaver the owner of BBQrs Delight owns one. I am pretty sure I heard Candy is doing a lot of testing on the Grilla with her pellets. If any of you know her, you may want to see what she thinks of the Grilla.

Thanks,

Jay

Will do. This is not spam. I saw in our website stats on BBQ Sauce Reviews that someone had reached our site from the link posted above. You can also go to our site and see more info on me if you want. Also I am pretty sure it wouldn't let me update my profile on here because I hadn't posted enough to do so. I think a forum admin can confirm this for me. This is also my first posts on here so I will go see if it will let me put my info in now.

Thanks :)

Hey Roller!

I just posted in Roll Call ( http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/117319/south-carolina-here  ) and it let me fill in part of my profile now that I have posted a few posts. Like I mentioned above the forum did not let me do this before because it said:

Thanks again!
