Peace with no interruptions comes dearly.

Wife, mother of three kids and one is special needs, homemaker, home-school teacher, actively involved in church Sunday school, working author who also leads/participates in three Writers related organizations.

She used to get up at 4am in order to have 3-4 hours before the kids started waking up, so she could write.
That or put the kids in bed at 9 and stay up till 12-1am to do the same.
She works writing and editing at every opportunity, the clickety clickety of her keyboard is incessant.

And the real work of an author begins after they sign a publishing contract.
Then begins their being at the mercy of the editors, held to someone else's deadline and the editing process is intense.
Must be a dozen different kinds of edits.

This chic is incredibly dedicated.
When I met her/married her she had two partial manuscripts that she dreamed of someday being published.
She has made her dreams come true through immense applications of hard work and dedication.

Thats prettty awesome John. Congrats to the missus. Can't get there for the signing, but this does look like something I might be interested in, and certainly my little gal. Best of luck to her.

Got the kindle version today. Next up on my reading list. I am in awe of any published author. The great sports writer Red Smith, when asked if writing was a chore, is reputed to have said, “You simply sit down at the typewriter, open your veins, and bleed.”
