My turn to ask for prayers

Not for me, but for my wife. Her mom passed away the other day and she is on her way to Louisiana to make the final arrangements. I ask y'all to pray that she has a safe trip and for the strength to deal with it all.

The woman was in her mid-90's and was put under hospice care a week or two ago. Her death was not unexpected, but, hey, we wish our parents to live forever.

Both of mine been gone for years, but every now and then I see something I'd like to share with one or the other. Then, I'm like, oh yeah .............

One of her sisters is along for the ride and Her son Jason.

Jason is an adult (39) with Down syndrome and a mama's boy. She ain't going nowhere without him even if he don't want to go lol.

Prayers go out to the entire family. Hopefully things go as smooth as they can for her. It's always rough to loose a family member but when the parents go it's even harder

Sorry to hear about your mother in-law, I can't imagine what she witnessed in her 90+ yrs.

I truly do not want to live that long.

I went through that with my mother in law just recently, it's life changing.
Not an experience I would recommend if possible. I think everyone has some regrets when a loved one passes, it is only natural to feel that you could've done more, but in reality there is nothing you could do to change the outcome.

I'm not looking forward to it with my folks, that's for damn sure.

I am sorry Doug that you are having to go thru this. We recently went thru it with the unexpected loss of my sister in law.

On top of the loss is all the other things you never expect to have to deal with. Good and bad but the paper work for funerals, (luckily for my niece life insurance), closing so many accounts and other stuff.

My wife was there with her sister at her end. She is a nurse and it was at her hospital. I don't think I would handle it so well.

Very sorry to hear that Doug. Prayers to your family.
I also had a bit of guilt when my mother passed. Heard from her care facility that she wasn't doing good. Made the arrangements to go the next morning. She passed peacefully in the night. That evening this was on my shop wall, I think her way of saying things are OK. . .
