Lmao! Maybe you should try and market it in candle form!!

Candles, incense, scratch-and-sniff ads in GQ. Heck, I could see a whole line of interesting ways to market that aroma. Don't know that I'd buy any of them though.

Thinking probably not,
Robert

Bravo to both tx smoker tx smoker and TNJAKE TNJAKE you boys have really outdone yourselves. Both gift packages look fabulous. I wasn't sure how Jake was going to match the gift from Robert, but low and behold he did. Great food, great friendship that's what it's all about, and you guys have it dialed in.

Hmmmm...toasted marshmallow bacon. That might be interesting. I'll hold judgement till I try it over pancakes or French toast.

Robert
For what it’s worth what popped in to my head as I though about this syrup is crispy sweet potato fries sprinkled with salty bacon and drizzled with that syrup that has the hint of marshmallow.

Wow how creative Jake. Both of you guys nailed creativity and thoughfulness for sure. I think Jake has Robert beat in the "Exotic" category, lol. Great to see such strong friendships anytime, but especially nowadays, it's so much more meaningful. I can't wait to see what both of you come up with. Happy and safe holidays to you and your Families.

Lol Mike. When you are exchanging gifts with a friend that has freezers full of amazing beef you gotta think outside the box. That's what made this so fun. Happy holidays to you and yours as well bud

That's just an awesome gift exchange on both ends! Looking forward to many great posts from both of you. Just another example of the type of members we have here on the forum!

Robert, we can wait till next year but if you give me your old boat and become boatless maybe that will help Jake's wife to feel you are really in need of a new one! All I can do to help a friend! :emoji_laughing:
I wouldn't even ask for you to reimburse me for gas money to come pick it up!

Great gifts Jake and Robert! I have had the D'ARTAGNAN duck bacon. And it was fantastic. I'm also going to look into the candle. Sounds interesting.

Damn, Robert, you hit the superfecta. And, Jake, you really knocked it out of the park. Congratulations to both of you.

I became aware of D'Artangan in the mid-1980s when I was talking to chef Andre Gaugin at his restaurant in Auch, France about the inability to get fresh Foie Gras in the U.S. He referred me to his daughter, Ariane, who was one of the co-founders of D'Artagnan located in NYC and upon my return to the U.S. I connected with her. At the time, they were a very small firm producing pates and other charcuterie for local restaurants and were venturing into the production of foie gras in the U.S. Though they didn't have a retail presence at the time I was able to get on the "Friends & Family" list and have been a regular customer ever since. They've long been a staple supplier at our house for this time of year and I have a couple orders upcoming, one this coming Monday, 12/201, and the other next Monday, 12/28.

Again, congrats to both of you on a job well done, and received.
