Took the family to San Antonio for a short end of summer vacation. I convinced everybody to take a detour on the drive home and visit the BBQ Capital of Texas: Lockhart. It lives up to the hype.

The Brisket, Sausage, and Ribs at Smitty's Market was amazing! It was so good I forgot to take more pictures. The smoke smell was amazing, worth the visit in of itself!

Nothing but good food, no plates, no forks, and no sauce. What an experience.

And look at the smoke ring on the brisket. I dream of getting this result on a brisket cook.
