Here's my newly finished 3' x 4' smokehouse with a custom wreath to reflect its meat heritage.

Nice looking smokehouse

How about a tour?

Ogre, morning and welcome to the forum.........     Cold smoke only..... WOW, that is cool.... Old School..... I love it.....   Real smoked food the old fashioned way.....    We will need pictures of stuff hanging in the smoker and recipes if that's OK....    Dave

Great Job!  Love to see the inside!  Have you done a smoke yet in it?

Thanks everyone, this house is built mostly with a sycamore tree that I fell 21 years ago to make room to dig a pound.I had it sawn into lumber at that time and it has been stacked ever since. I wanted a new cold, smokehouse so what a better use for that big beautiful tree.
Yes I have smoked a couple of sides of bacon, a 20 Lb ham, sausage some cheese and almonds. I would have smoked this past week but we haven't gotten above freezing in a week.
I will post some interior pics as soon as I can get to my other computer, my IPad doesn't seem to let me post pictures from it.
I like it so much I plan on taking it with me if I move.

Hey Ogre,

congratulations on your build really nice job & workmanship, I know what you went through (labor of love),

can't wait to see the inner workings, how tall is it?........ You're saying 3ft wide and 4ft deep, right.

That's pretty good size smoke house,

al

Hi TennSmoker, the exact measurements are 3' 10 1/2" wide x 3'6" deep x 7' to the inside peak.

Here are the first things I smoked in the new smokehouse: 2 sides of bacon and 1 20lb ham. The bacon here is just starting to take good color. We enjoyed it immensely! Next time I'll use Pop's brine recipe on the ham.
