I got the AMZN 12" tube for my weak smoke MES 30 and it makes plenty smoke. But thought about the mailbox mod done by so many and decided to do one myself. I like to tinker and use up scraps from other projects so I made a wooden box. It is long enough and wide enough for either the 12" pellet tube or the 5 x 8" tray I have on order. I lined the box with aluminum and foil duct tape so a flare up would be less likely to set fire to the box. I installed a hinged door top front. I drilled two air inlet holes bottom front and a 3" smoke hole top rear. Flex hose and fittings a Lowe's cost me about $20 and box was no cost. It seems to work like a charm, at least for now. Good job!! I just replied to your last post about putting legs on the AMNPS. I have no experience with the tube at all, but I understand lots of members raise it too.
Glad to see that top vent wide open. Mine is always open--not even sure it will close any more. :emoji_blush:
