I started with a smoker similar to that, cooked lots of mighty fine BBQ in fact I still have one that I did some mod's to. still use it every once in a while. Good looking Q

Before I got my ATC for my 22 WSM I closed the bottom vents before I opened the lid this helped eliminate the temp spike
