Well I had fun attempting to make sausage. I used a kit as I wanted to keep it simple the first go around. Only one weak link in my set up. Sausage stuffer I recently bought. That thing is worthless. Anyway, I had a blast getting started.

here's a few pictures of how it went.

I got an old meat grinder that was my grandfather's. It worked pretty good for an antique.

Here's 12lbs of boston but and 3lbs of vension ground up.

Here's the boat anchor formally known as sausage stuffer:

I did manage to get a few links out of that miserable contraption.

I took the rest of it an made jimmy dean clone recipe in freezer bags. I also made some meatballs for an upcoming party. I had hoped to make it all sausage but I have got to get a real stuffer.

I didn't know where to look in the bucket for the pics....  but making b'kfst sausage out of a nightmare is awesome...

I would recommend ditching photo bucket and posting your pics directly.

I have a Jimmy Dean clone that I have tweaked to my family's taste.  It is a very good breakfast sausage.  At least according to my family and friends?

Good luck and good smoking.
