I always try to place a pan under my food it is not always possible and that idea of the small veggie tin can is not enough on long smokes. I found this out when I did 2 butts and had to switch out the can 4 times.
With that in the past, I decides to come up with a way to have the grease go into a larger container and below is my working idea ( sorry for the bad camera shot).
I used a funnel from Target and chopped the top 3/4 inch off of it, and a piece of 5/8 inch tubing that I got at Lowes to pour into a coffee can. I also found that the fullen is a perfect lenght to pour into a milk carton w/o the tubing.
All in all it was less that $2 for everything to make this work.
