Before I start, there were some great entries in the Burger Blowout and I think the first and second place winners deserved their rankings.  Great job guys!  Congrats!

I was entry #15 - Bacon wrapped, mesquite smoked, sausage-mac-n-cheese stuffed burger

The only reason I am posting this burger is the sausage-mac-n-cheese stuffing was incredible, so much so I had to hide some from the family to be able to have enough left to build my burger entry.  In our family, the burger entry was nice but the sausage-mac-n-cheese was the big hit and winner - hands down.  (It is going into a fatty soon!)  So I thought I would share that recipe.  I used:

8 oz (or so) of small elbow macaroni - maybe 10 oz.  Call it a little more than half the box...

1 lbs Jimmy Dean Hot sausage - chopped/scrambled/drained

8-10 oz. Velveta

10 oz. can of Original Ro-tel

Mix everything in the pot until thoroughly melted, blended.

Here's a pic of the finished sausage-mac-n-cheese:

I can see adding some diced jalapeno to the above as well if you want to kick it up a notch.

Of course I bacon wrapped my burger using 1/2 pound of center cut bacon

This is my entry...

Lacy was bored with it all because we weren't providing any treats
