Well I acquired this 500 gallon propane tank awhile ago with the intent to start a build but time got away from me. I had the tank at a friend's house but had to move it before we deployed. So I had to come up with a temporary solution.

I wanted to be able to move this big thing around the garage and driveway until I could get to it and as I worked in it so I built a cradle with some heavy duty casters. Surprisingly it moves around pretty well for the size.

Well today I bit the bullet and decided to cut into this 500 gallon propane tank. I took all the valves off right after I bought to air it out. I filled and flushed it a tile or two then added a large thing of dish soap and filled it with water again. Then grit my teeth, squinted my eyes and went to town with my montavo 6 inch hand cutter. As you can tell there wasn't a boom otherwise I wouldn't have started this thread. I didn't get as far as I wanted today. I managed to get the doors cut out except the corners and mounted the pipe on top of the doors for the hinges. I had some half in rod bent to 90 degrees to use as my hinges but ran into a snag. I need to add another small bend to them to get over the 1 inch banding and make contact with the door to get welded. I didn't have a bender so I was going to use my o2 and actylene rig to heat and bend in a vise but wouldn't you know it my oxygen regulated went bad so now love. I was already tired and that just sucked the wind out of my sails. So I quit for the day. So this is where I left off.

Doesn't look like much I know for a days work but it is a big damn tank and those are some large doors. I burned through all my cutting blades I had left (about 15-20) so had to order another box of 50. I also decided to hit the tractor store and bought some new regulators, torch, rosebud and accessories. I also bought a pipe/rod bender, you know so I would have all my bases covered. My wife loves this hobby of mine! Now if I can find some time I can try to get back out there and get some more done. Hopefully I will
Have some more soon.

Oh and just wanted to say thanks to Daveomark, sxfxz and smokedstanley for tolerating my pm's asking questions. Thanks gents!
